I've been drawing as long as I can remember. Over the past few years I've tried to push myself to new levels, doing cars extensively, and most recently portraits of famous ladies and friends, as well as various other commissions.

I've worked mostly with number 2 pencil and printer paper, as that was what was most available. Recently I've tried my hand at colored pencils, charcoal, and photoshop.

Aside from art, I also enjoy playing and writing music, snowboarding, playing soccer and other sports, and I'm a professional engineer. Feel free to contact me with any questions or requests!

Not at all! I've been drawing my whole life so I've definitely had a lot of practice. One thing I can't stress enough is not being afraid to push yourself out of your comfort zone. I used to draw video game characters as a kid, and when I became comfortable with that, I moved on to drawing cars. once I became comfortable with that, I tried my hand at people, which I feel is the hardest thing to capture. I wasn't always good with things like perspective, and value scales (shading, contrast) but I wasn't afraid to try them either and push myself.

Also, don't restrict yourself to traditional rules, or think you only have to work with one type of medium. I myself have used a combo of pencils and then to get greater contrast used charcoal. Don't be afraid to get creative with it!

That's about all the advice I have to give, good luck!
